Our commitment
Storm Sail BJJ is committed to the safety and wellbeing of all children and young people in our care. We take our responsibility seriously, and we work to ensure that everyone, regardless of age or experience, feels safe, respected, and looked after.
Our Club Welfare Officer
Our designated Club Welfare Officer is Luiz Eduardo (Duda) Adler P. Duarte. Duda holds formal UK safeguarding training and is the first point of contact for any welfare concerns.

All concerns are treated with care and confidentiality. Where necessary, concerns will be escalated to the appropriate authorities.
What to do if you have a concern
If you are a parent, guardian, or member with a concern about a child's welfare:

All concerns will be acknowledged and handled promptly
If a child is in immediate danger, contact the police or social services directly
Our Code of Conduct for instructors and adults
All instructors and adults working with children at Storm Sail BJJ are expected to:
Always work in open, visible environments and never alone with a child out of sight
Communicate with minors only through group channels or via their parent or guardian
Maintain appropriate professional boundaries at all times
Never use physical contact beyond what is necessary for safe BJJ instruction
Report any concerns about a child's welfare immediately to the Club Welfare Officer
Lead by example in upholding the values of respect, care, and integrity
